Our stories crossed paths in 2015 when we both found ourselves a part of the same corporate wellness company family.  It took very little time for us to realize we may actually be sisters...just kidding, but really.  We share the same nutrition philosophy as dietitians - keeping it nutritious and fueling your body and brain with what it needs, but keeping it real - like I need a sweet treat in the afternoon real - like a convenient, grown-up lunchable kind of day real.  We are also equally quirky and hard working, which makes being coworkers productive and a whole lot of fun!  So...why not pursue our career dreams together?!  Let's do this!  And here we are.

Hey Y’all!

 

I’m a Registered Dietitian, Exercise Physiologist, self-proclaimed foodie, exercise junkie, and coffee addict (no shame in my game).  I completed dual undergraduate degrees in Exercise Science and Nutrition at Appalachian State University (GO ‘NEERS!) and my dietetic internship through Lenoir Rhyne University (GO BEARS!).  

 

I’m a North Carolina native, have the best friends and family a girl could ask for and a sweet pup named Murphy who is sure to make an appearance on the blog and podcast at some point.  Jesus, coffee, cheese, and gummy bears give me life. I LOVE to travel and am not afraid to admit that I often make travel decisions based on food. I look forward to checking many more destinations and cuisines off my bucket list and sharing them with you all!  I just don’t want to look back and think “I could’ve eaten that”.

 

I’m a firm believer that you should enjoy the foods that you choose to fuel your brain and body and I truly love helping my clients rediscover the joy of food and meet their goals.  I especially love working with athletes of any type and am pursuing board certification as a specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD). Every person and every athlete is different, so you won’t find a “canned” approach working with me.  Let’s get to know each other, set some goals, and crush ‘em!

Hey y'all!  Here's a little about me and how I'd love to get to know and serve you.

I am first and foremost a lover of our Lord Jesus Christ, who strengthens me daily and fills me with joy!  I am a wife and a mom too, which has brought me to this place.  While I've had some amazing experiences through my years of work providing medical nutrition therapy and in corporate wellness, my heart and passion brings me back to a place of balance - more time with my beautiful family and the opportunity to share my expertise and love with those looking for a renewed and healthy relationship with food.

My first priority in working with you is to listen and truly get to know you and where you are in your food and wellness journey.  Only then can I serve you best.  

I am a registered dietitian (RD) and a human with real food temptations and ups and downs of my own - some conquered and some a work in progress.  This coupled with a craving for evidence-based nutrition, a focus on foods in their whole form, but with flexibility for real life and convenience, puts me in the right place to serve you.  We can use the knowledge of nutrition to navigate our food options and make wise choices, even if from a package or a restaurant.

I'd love to help you find your balance and ditch the diet yo-yo routine.  I will help you find confidence in your food choices, support you in mastering goal setting (and keeping), and motivate you to the moon and back!
